For some reason I started thinking about what took place at gas pumps back in the early 70’s. Remember? I’ve got it locked in my memory file of cars waiting in line to buy gas. I even remember some gas stations having signs that said, ‘only ten gallons per car’. Crazy times! From the early 70’s to 2007 we still hear that we are an energy consuming nation and unless we make some major adjustments we will eventually face an energy crisis.
I’ve got good news. Individually and as a church we have a never-ending supply of energy! We have available to us the very powerful; energetic Holy Spirit. His power is from everlasting to everlasting. The good news is His power is always available. And it’s through the power of the Holy Spirit that things happen…big things. Just read Genesis and watch the power of the Holy Spirit in creation.
What we want be sure of is that individually and as a church that we stay connected to the Holy Spirit. We don’t want to ‘unplug’ from His power supply. So let’s do this. Let’s keep our hearts clean. Let’s keep our lives filled with the Spirit and let’s bear lot’s of spiritual fruit and watch His power come alive in us and through us!
Can’t wait to see you again!
